PRIVACY POLICY AND DATA NOTICE ABOUT THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Tango Suites & Coworking is committed to the privacy and security of the information of all individuals who visit our properties and/or use any of our websites, in accordance with Brazilian law currently in force regarding privacy and personal data protection in Brazil, especially Law No. 13,709/2018, as amended (General Law for the Protection of Personal Data – "LGPD").

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data that:

Are provided to us when you stay or travel with us (or make inquiries to stay or travel with us) by you or by third parties through whom you made an inquiry or booking; and we collect from you when you access any of the websites of Tango Suites & Coworking or that we obtain from any communication with you.
The following sections of this Privacy Policy describe the types of personal data we collect, how and for what purposes we use these personal data, with whom we share them, and the choices and rights available to you regarding the use of your personal data. We also describe the measures we take to protect the security of the personal data we hold and how to contact us about our privacy practices and exercise your rights.

Personal data we collect

1.1 Personal data you voluntarily provide

We will collect, store, and process your information if you voluntarily provide us with such information in connection with the following:

filling out a form on any of our websites;
filling out a physical registration card;
choosing to receive our marketing information;
creating an account with us and managing your preferences;
contacting us by phone or in person (for example: making a booking or speaking to our customer service team);
sending us a letter, email, or message on social media;
signing up to receive one of our services (for example: newsletter, blog or following us on social media);
requesting our promotional information (for example: information about any of our products or services, including Tango Suites & Coworking gift cards);
participating in a survey, contest or sweepstake; or

passport and visa data, payment data, travel history, and traveler details;
dates of your stay or travel with us and associated charges;
purchase or delivery of products or services;
comments and opinions about brands, products, and services;
information we receive about you from third parties through whom you booked your arrangements; and
information we receive about you from other members of the Tango Suites & Coworking Group (which may include information relating to travel dates, details of payments made to us, special requests, and other information related to your personal preferences (for example: food and drink preferences and interests)).
Sensitive personal data

We do not collect data that are, by nature, particularly sensitive (for example: genetic data, biometric data, data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, sex life, sexual orientation, religion, or other beliefs, health-related data, criminal background, or union membership) unless you voluntarily provide them to us.

We may use certain sensitive personal data or sensitive data when you give us your explicit consent so that we can meet your needs as best as possible. These sensitive data are shared only with other members of the Tango Suites & Coworking Group or with our third-party service providers acting as data processors (for example: travel and tour agencies, restaurants, carriers) for the purpose of providing the requested services and will not be shared or used by us for any other purposes.

Examples of sensitive personal data we may collect and process include:

food allergies;
dietary requirements that may imply or suggest your religion, health, or other sensitive personal data;
mobility needs;
disability; and medical conditions.
1.2 Automatically collected personal data

When you access a Tango Suites & Coworking website, we may also collect certain data through the use of "cookies" and other automated means. Cookies are small data files stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. These data may include the following information:

type of browser and operating system used (if provided by the browser);
URL of the referring page (if provided by the browser);

Use of personal data

As a provider of luxury hospitality experiences, Tango Suites & Coworking has a legitimate business interest in operating and improving its business and the services it offers. Tango Suites & Coworking, therefore, uses and processes your personal data to:

help us create content that is relevant to our visitors;
make improvements to our websites and social media pages and ensure that their contents are presented in the most effective way for you;
provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or that we feel may interest you;
facilitate bookings, payment, and other administrative processes related to your stay or travel;
evaluate and help us understand general trends and patterns related to our business;
ensure the safety and security of our guests and visitors;
manage general record-keeping;
enable the compilation of anonymous and aggregated statistics that help us understand how users use our sites and help us improve the structure of our sites;
allow you to make reservations, purchase Tango Suites & Coworking gift vouchers, and make payments;
comply with any legal provisions and/or regulatory requirements;
provide the products or services that you have requested from us, including providing personalized services; and
improve our products and services and ensure that they are interesting to you.
Even when Tango Suites & Coworking has a legitimate interest in processing your personal data, it will not do so to the extent that such processing may override your interests, rights, and freedoms to protect your personal data.

We may also use your personal data to prevent and deter fraud, claims, and other liabilities and to comply with or enforce applicable legal requirements, industry standards, and our policies and terms. We use personal data for these purposes when it is necessary to protect, exercise, or defend our legal rights, or when we are required to do so by applicable law.

In the situations described below, we will only process your personal data when you give us your specific consent, and you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights below):

marketing purposes and profiles that are managed exclusively by Tango Suites & Coworking as a data controller for the Tango Suites & Coworking Group. Your decision to provide your data for such purposes is optional and will have no consequence on your ability to stay with us or benefit from the requested services.;
all purposes related to your booking, your stay, and to provide you with the services you requested, which are managed by Tango Suites & Coworking and by the Tango Suites & Coworking properties you visit as joint controllers. The decision to provide us with personal data (including special category/sensitive personal data) is voluntary, however, if you do not provide such personal data you may not be able to benefit from our services.
We may process your personal data by automated means and manually. We may use your personal data in other ways for which we provide specific notice at the time of collection.

Sharing of personal data

We will only send you marketing communications if you have opted to receive these communications. You have the right to "opt out" of receiving marketing communications, whether by email or otherwise, at any time. You can do this by clicking on the unsubscribe link displayed in any of the marketing emails you receive.

We do not sell, disclose, or share data we collect and maintain about you, except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We may share your personal data with third parties, as described below:

other members of the Tango Suites & Coworking Group, who may use this data to offer products and services to you consistent with the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy;
third-party service providers who have been designated as data processors to perform functions and services on our behalf and who will receive only the personal data necessary to perform the services on our behalf, but are not authorized to use these data for any other purposes (for example: providers of services related to web hosting, payment processing, information technology systems, customer relationship management, booking and reservation management, marketing, auditing, administration);
third-party providers of parts of any holiday package, tour, transfer, activity/experience organized by a concierge or other service that we arrange for you;
our consultants and insurers in the event of a claim, dispute or when necessary;
where the Tango Suites & Coworking Property you visit is operated, but not owned by the Tango Suites & Coworking Group, the owner of that Tango Suites & Coworking Property (and their advisors and representatives);
if we are required to do so by law or in accordance with legal process or to comply with any applicable rules or regulations, or in response to a request from a police authority or other government official; and
We reserve the right to transfer your personal data in the event of a total or partial sale or transfer of our business or assets, in accordance with applicable law. If such a sale or transfer occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use the data you have provided us in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy. Following such a sale or transfer, you may contact the entity to which we transferred your data to raise any questions about the processing of that data.
Your rights
Personal data subjects may exercise the following rights free of charge:

Confirmation of the processing of your personal data: Personal data subjects may request confirmation regarding the processing of their personal data by Tango Suites & Coworking;
Access to personal data: Personal data subjects may request access to the scope of personal data processed by Tango Suites & Coworking, as well as information about the processing and sharing of personal data with business partners;
Portability of personal data: Personal data subjects may request a report of personal data processed by Tango Suites & Coworking, for sharing with other companies.
Correction, updating or supplementation of personal data: Personal data subjects may request the correction, updating, or supplementation of their personal data.
Review of automated decisions: Personal data subjects may request a review of decisions that have been made about them in an automated manner, i.e., through the use of artificial intelligence and, therefore, without human intervention.
Opposition to the processing of personal data: Personal data subjects may request clarification and/or object to the processing of their personal data when they believe that this processing is irregular.
Blocking of the processing of personal data: Personal data subjects may request the temporary blocking of the processing of their data while requests for correction or opposition are processed.
Deletion or anonymization of personal data: Personal data subjects may request the deletion of their personal data and/or the anonymization of such data, when the personal data were obtained based on their consent or when they believe that these data are no longer necessary for maintaining the relationship they have with Tango Suites & Coworking.

Data transfers
In accordance with national legislation, the international transfer of personal data may occur to business partners or international organizations located in countries that provide a level of protection of personal data adequate to that provided by the Law, or ensure the same level of protection contractually.

According to the law, international transfers of personal data may also occur in the following cases:

when the transfer is necessary for international legal cooperation between public intelligence and investigation agencies, in accordance with international law norms;
when the transfer is necessary for the protection of the life or physical safety of the personal data subjects or third parties;
when the national data protection authority authorizes the transfer;
when the transfer results from a commitment made in an international cooperation agreement;
when the transfer is necessary for the execution of public policy or legal assignment of the public service, with publicity being given in accordance with the law;
for compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation; or
for the regular exercise of rights in judicial, administrative or arbitration proceedings.

How we protect your personal data
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal data you provide against destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure, or accidental, unlawful or unauthorized use. Service providers and contractors who may have access to your data to provide services on our behalf will be contractually obliged to keep such data confidential, provide appropriate data security measures, and may not use these data for any other purpose.

For your own protection, we encourage you not to include sensitive personal data, credit card data, or similar personal data in any emails you send to us or to our team.

How long we keep your personal data
Tango Suites & Coworking only retains your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they are collected, unless required or permitted by law to keep the personal data for a longer period.

Your personal data will be anonymized or deleted if your last interaction with Tango Suites & Coworking occurred more than 5 years ago. An "Interaction with Tango Suites & Coworking" includes, for example, visiting a Tango Suites & Coworking property or opening marketing communications from Tango Suites & Coworking.
